Our story
The Laughing Frog
Rooted in the Catskills, we bring people together through art and yoga to slow down, get curious, and connect. A little creativity, a little movement, and room to simply be.
How it started
The Laughing Frog grew out of a simple belief: everyone is creative, even if they've forgotten. Through paint parties and yoga in the Catskills, we create space to slow down, get curious, and connect with ourselves and each other. Whether you’re picking up a paintbrush or stepping onto a yoga mat, you’re invited to come as you are, try something new, and enjoy the company along the way.
We're not about perfection. We're about the process. The happy accidents, the unexpected colors, the deep breath that helps you settle into a stretch. The moment you stop worrying about getting it right and give yourself room to explore. That's where the good stuff happens.
Every gathering is designed to feel welcoming, unhurried, and a little bit magical. Whether you're picking up a brush, stepping onto a mat, or simply looking for a little time for yourself, you're welcome here. No experience needed, just a little curiosity.
What we believe
Curiosity and Creativity belongs to everyone
You don't need experience or training to begin. Just show up with a willingness to try something new and see where it takes you.
Process over perfection
Whether you're painting or practicing yoga, there's room to explore and find your own pace. Let go of how you think it should look and enjoy how it feels to be in the moment.
Connection at the heart. Community as the canvas
Sharing time, creativity, and laughter brings us closer. Whether we're painting together or moving side by side, we make space for friendships to grow and a sense of belonging to take root.
Rooted in the Catskills
This place inspires us every day. We bring its beauty and spirit into every gathering, with warmth, a sense of wonder, and a little mountain magic.
Sister offering
Yoga
The same spirit that drives our paint parties lives in our yoga practice too — slowing down, showing up, and making space for what matters. We offer private sessions, group classes, and immersive retreats at Batavia Kill Homestead, our sanctuary in the Catskills. We also offer on-site yoga at your location.
